Event description
Quality and safety governance for community services in the careful transition back to a "new normal' in planning the recovery from COVID-19

About this Event

Delivering safe, effective, connected, person-centred community services has been a significant challenge during the COVID-19 pandemic. The integrated systems, processes, leadership and culture at the core of quality governance for safe, effective, connected, person-centred services have needed to adapt with pandemic response planning.

But what does quality and safety governance look like during and beyond the COVD-19 recovery stage and for some time thereafter?

In the spirit of collaboration, the Frankston Mornington Peninsula Primary Care Partnership is facilitating an online forum for health and social services across the Frankston Mornington Peninsula to consider quality and safety in the context of transitioning back to a 'new normal' under Stage 4 Stand-down and recovery stage of the COVID-19 Plan for the Victorian Community Services Sector.

We'll utilise the Community services quality governance framework to consider how to achieve "safe, effective, connected and person-centred community services for everybody, every time" in the recovery from COVID-19 pandemic. We'll discuss roles and responsibilities involved in delivering on that objective, and the domains and systems which promote and support its consistent delivery.

This forum provides local health and social services an opportunity to contribute to the conversation through their ideas, collaboration and key insights, and to learn from the experience of others.

The forum is open to those working in the Frankston Mornington Peninsula health and social services system responsible for supporting orgnisational business continuity and contingency arrangements during the pandemic response.
