QLD Renewables Pre-Drinks & Gold Coast Community Forum
Wed. 26 October 2016, 5:00 pm – 5:45 pm AEST
SHOW YOUR SUPPORT FOR CLEAN ENERGY IN QUEENSLAND
Right now, the Queensland government is considering how to deliver on their 2014 election commitment to see 50% of Queensland’s power needs met by clean energy sources - like wind and solar power - by 2030.
The trouble is, without visible community support, this 50% by 2030 commitment to clean energy could easily become all target and no action.
The Government's Renewable Energy Expert panel is holding its community consultation forum at 6-8pm at The Vibe Hotel in Surfers Paradise. This is a public forum in response to the draft report on renewable energy that will be released in mid October and is a critical opportunity to show that people in South East Queensland want clean energy.
The Fight for the Reef are inviting you to join us for drinks, nibbles and a discussion before the forum to provide some background to the issue and discuss ideas for building public support for clean energy.
Pre-Drinks & Discussion: 5:00-5:45pm, Helm Bar Surfers, 30-34 Ferny Avenue, Surfers Paradise
Renewable Energy Expert Panel Forum: 6:00-8:00pm, Vibe Hotel Gold Coast - 42 Ferny Avenue, Surfers Paradise,
Helm Bar is right next to Vibe Hotel so we can walk over to the forum session together.
If you cannot make pre-drinks at the Helm Bar, please go straight to the forum at the Vibe Hotel.
