Description

The French-Australian Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the German-Australian Chamber of Industry and Commerce, are very pleased to invite you to a joint Aerospace, Defence & Aviation industry event dedicated to the present and future involvement of European Defence Primes in Queensland, on Wednesday 30 October.

The recent success of Rheinmetall in its bid for Land 400 Phase 2 project is a great success for the European Defence Prime, as well as a success for Defence Industry jobs in Queensland. It is further cementing the strong relationship already established by Airbus, with the ARH Tiger and MRH Taipan, and Thales Australia, with the Bushmaster and Hawkei, resulting in a number of key Defence capabilities having led to the development of a sustained skilled local Queensland workforce.

How strong is the current relationship between QLD and European Defence Primes and what are the plans to enhance even further this relationship in the future?

To answer this question, we will have the privilege to welcome Gary Stewart, Managing Director at Rheinmetall Defence Australia, Andrew Mathewson, Managing Director Airbus Australia Pacific and Airbus Head of Country Australia & New Zealand, Paul Feighan, Director, Protected Vehicles at Thales Australia, and Mark Scott, Managing Director of Systra Scott Lister.

This will be a great opportunity to discuss the future opportunities but also the challenges the industry is facing.

Presentation and panel session will be followed by drinks and canapes.

Many thanks to Thales Australia, Systra Scott Lister and Strabag, for supporting this event.
