The Queensland Cardiorespiratory Physiotherapy Network is proud to present the QCRPN Conference Day for 2016.
Key Note Speaker - Dr Bernie Bissett
Dr Bernie Bissett is an intensive care physiotherapist with 16 years' clinical experience in acute care, including Sydney, London and Canberra. Bernie's PhD work focused on the role of inspiratory muscle training to enhance recovery for ICU patients and she has presented and published these results internationally. Bernie has also published in the areas of early mobilization and physical function outcome measures in ICU.
Bernie is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Canberra, where she collaborates with physiotherapists at Canberra Hospital to explore ways to maximize the functional recovery of ICU survivors. Bernie is a passionate advocate of both evidence-based practice and patient-centred care, and is excited about the future of research and clinical practice in cardiorespiratory physiotherapy. Parking needs to be booked by Wednesday 19th October. You will receive your ticket at the conference - and will receive further advice about parking location prior to the conference.
