Event description

Description

The Queensland Art Teachers Association State Conference for 2019 continues the success of last year with even more opportunities for the exchange of ideas, knowledge and practice. QATA exists because of the engagement and contribution of our members. Our primary goal is to connect arts educators, galleries, industry and artists. This year’s conference will provide opportunities to exchange what we know, and to work together to meet the demands of educational change while maintaining visible and vital arts programs throughout Queensland.

QATA EXCHANGE 2019 IS PROUDLY SUPPORTED BY QUT CREATIVE INDUSTRIES.

Choose from the full two day program or select one day to suit your needs.

Friday 19 July - Collaborate and exchange in curriculum and hands-on focused sessions with colleagues to explore contemporary art practice and pedagogy, including implementing culturally appropriate indigenous protocols in the classroom.

Saturday 20 July - A great selection of ever popular hands-on professional development practical workshops and artwork exchange.

VENUE: QUT Creative Industries, Kelvin Grove

Whether you are attending Friday, Saturday or both days, you are also invited to join your colleagues for drinks and networking Friday 19 July at the Roundhouse Theatre, QUT from 5:15 - 7:00pm.
