Event description

Description

Every Monday at 2pm we host an open information and training session at our Brunswick East Cafe & Roastery.

In this workshop, we delve into the science of milk in coffee.

A solid understanding of milk and all its textural, individual qualities is a fascinating and essential tool for creating quality espresso based beverages for your customers or enhacing your espresso experience at home. We discuss the science of steaming, curating milk for particular coffee profiles and share some handy tips for using soy and alternative milks.

Following this, take part in a demonstration on steaming different varieties, including almond, soy and full cream, on one of our in-house espresso machines.

To highlight the importance of quality milk, we talk through the reasoning behind our choice of milk - St. David's Dairy - and set up a milk tasting alongside other brands of standard full-cream milk. This workshop is a fun, interactive afternoon covering a fundamental element in specialty coffee.
