PUBLIC FORUM: Fair Food Week 2016

Learn about Food Sustainability and what is happening in your local area.
Join us for this inaugural screening of a film about food sustainability produced by the Australian Food Sovereignty Alliance, followed by a discussion with a panel of speakers from local organisations and those involved in food sustainability.

Fair Food Week and Fair Food-The Documentary is an initiative of Australian Food Sovereignty Alliance. The film features farmer innovators, social enterprise leaders, urban agriculture dynamos, and leading researchers and thinkers. It presents a sharp critique of the nature of Australia’s food system, and shows pathways to a fairer and more hopeful future. It has been filmed in many locations across Australia, including the North Coast.
On the evening the Fair Food-The Documentary will be screened followed by speakers from local organisations including:
• REAP (Oz harvest) -
• Hastings LandCare
• Community Gardens
• Farmers Market and Tastings on Hastings Co-ordinator
• Local Farmers and Food Managers
The event is also a fundraiser for the “Lost Plot”- Port Macquarie's Community Garden with a $5.00 donation requested at the door.
