Event Details

It is often said that organisational change is difficult because it results in some people gaining power and others losing it.  There is strong evidence that this is true, but it begs a number of fascinating questions:

  • What is power from a psychological point of view?
  • Why do some people have an enormous drive for power and others none at all?
  • What causes the drive for power in individuals or groups?
  • How can you measure a person’s drive for power?
  • Is power seeking a good thing – is it accompanied by positive characteristics or negative?
  • What is the risk of people taking it too far – demonstrating domineering behaviours?

In this interactive presentation Andrew Marty will review the world of research to answer these questions as well as show you the results of SACS own research into the topic of power seeking and its measurement.  Power seeking explains a number of crucial behaviours and outcomes in organisations.  It is well worth understanding and managing.  Join us to find out how.

WEBINAR
