Description

Brisbane South PHN invites organisations to attend the Provider bank EOI information session.

On Friday 23 November 2018 Brisbane South PHN released the following documents to the open market:

• Request for Proposal – Primary mental health services
• Request for Proposal – headspace Capalaba
• Expression of Interest – Priority population groups ‘Provider bank’.

This information session will provide further details specifically on the Provider bank EOI.

This session is for service providers who work with priority population groups including culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities; lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex, queer (LGTBIQ) communities and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.

OVERVIEW:
Brisbane South PHN has been working with service providers, consumers and their closest supporters and key stakeholders to help shape a new way of commissioning our primary mental health services from July 2019. We’ve heard that there are barriers that need addressing in the existing system, including a lack of clear entry points, unclear referral pathways and a sense of fragmentation within the system.

The new proposed service model aims to respond to these barriers by reducing fragmentation and having a greater focus on integrated, region-based services that meet the unique needs of each individual. The new model will focus on the person as the centre, surrounded by their natural supports and broader community supports with strong links to the primary health care system.

The purpose of the Provider bank is to establish a register of service providers who can provide flexibility for the primary mental health service model to meet the needs of people from priority population groups in Brisbane south.

We encourage you to visit the Tenders page on the Brisbane South PHN website to view the documentation before attending the information session.
