Description
This course is a practical hands-on course to update your First Aid, Asthma and Anaphylaxis Certificate which includes updating of CPR skills and scenarios in a fun-filled outdoor learning environment.
This course covers management of various first aid situations including: shock, medical emergencies, burns/ temperature extremes, fractures, poisons/bites & stings, bleeding, allergic reactions, soft tissue injuries and many more in an outdoor Child Care or Education setting.
This course is for those who work in a Child Care Centre, Family Day Care, Outside Hour School Care, After Hour School Care or in an Education and Care setting particularly those who operate in outdoor environments.
This course is approved by ACECQA and This qualification satisfies all requirements for first aid, anaphylaxis management and emergency asthma training
- Course duration is Up to 8 practical hours
Competencies covered within the course, include:
HLTAID004 Provide an Emergency First Aid Response in an Education and Care Setting
HLTAID001 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
This is Nationally Recognised Training. A Statement of Attainment will be issued following successful completion of all units
