Event description

Description

One of the most important assets you have as a creator is your intellectual property (IP). Intellectual property can take many forms – from logos to sophisticated inventions. It is important to protect your IP and get your IP strategy right from the get-go.

LegalVision is hosting a free evening workshop to help creators and entrepreneurs with protecting one of your most valuable assets – your IP. At the end of the session, you’ll have a better understanding of how to register your IP, protect your IP and deal with any breaches of your IP. You’ll also get the chance to network with other creators!

Brigit Rubinstein (Practice Leader) and Christopher Mittiga (Practice Leader) will take you through the importance of building a great brand and how to protect your unique work.

Attend the event to grab some free food, drinks and participate in our Q&A.

This free event has limited space – RSVPs are essential.

You’ll learn about:

  • The different types of IP and how they apply to your business

  • The different legal mechanisms used to protect your IP (e.g. employment agreements, assignment agreements, non-disclosure agreements, agreements with service providers etc)

  • What happens if there is a breach of your IP? (i.e. letters of demand, consider copyright enforcement if you’ve invested in legal IP protection.)
