The aim of this workshop is to complement the ‘Child Safe’ modules online training by providing participants with opportunities to apply theory to practice.
The challenges of working in a community context will be explored with many opportunities for problem solving and discussion.
Intended learning outcomes
At the completion of training participants will be able to:
- Demonstrate the process of identifying and responding to factors that would lead to suspected harm or risk of harm
- Apply current WCHN reporting, escalation and standardised communication tools
- Develop a clinical formulation of risk including identifying, assessing, managing and understanding risk
- Formulate a care plan that addresses risk, strengthens protective factors and identity resources to support families
- Integrate an assessment of child and family wellbeing into a clinical assessment and construct an evaluation plan
- Identify pathways and mechanisms for collaboration with partner agencies
- Identify personal stressors and wellbeing activities
Manager approval will be required prior to registering for this workshop.
