 Craig West

  • Craig West - SME Association, Executive Chairman

Craig West is a strategic accountant who has over 20 years’ experience advising business owners. His background as a CPA in public practice, provided invaluable experience in the key issues of concern to business owners and his topic will be:

Maximise the Value of your Business

The Maximise Value seminar explores the how, when and why of Succession Planning. The key internal and external factors that are critical to maximising the value of any business are highlighted and explained within the context of value enhancement. Participants are shown how to transfer ownership on their terms, in their own timeframe.

Employee Engagement

The Employee Engagement Seminar highlights the importance of having engaged and motivated employees, and introduces the idea of getting employees to think and act like business owners.

The presentation shows attendees how to attract and retain high calibre staff through the use of Employee Ownership Share Plans.

Grant Abbott
  •     Grant Abbott - SMSF Guru

Grant is the author of the "Gurus Guide to SMSFs" - an important and critical part of any small or medium business.  Quite apart from being a great asset protection tool, the SMSF sits alongside the business as your nest egg.  For many successful small to medium business owners using tax deductible super contributinos to build a deposit to acquire a factory, office, farm or other commercial premises to house the business is a "must have" strategy.

Grant will be presenting on his key strategies for SME owners and why, how and when to use a SMSF - from start up phase, to raising capital to selling the business.  Grant is the Adviser's adviser and has presented on SMSFs on more than 2,000 occassions, he is the author of five books on SMSFs and is the Chairman of the SMSF Members Association.
