This workshop will explore the development of independence skills in children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). We will discuss the stages of skill development in the areas of:

- dressing
- toileting
- feeding
- daily self-care tasks

Strategies to support children to become more independent in their day-to-day will be discussed and relevant resources to help will be shared.
