What is perinatal depression and anxiety? What resources are available to support facilitators in their work with families affected by perinatal depression and anxiety? The training will include strategies for supporting participants with perinatal depression and anxiety in your playgroups.

PANDA Perinatal Anxiety and Depression Australia, offers training to facilitators, playgroup leaders/coordinators who may be working with parents affected by perinatal depression and anxiety and their families

PRESENTER

Mary Edmonds has been the Supported Playgroups Training Coordinator at PANDA since 2012. Mary is passionate about importance of social support and play for families experiencing perinatal anxiety and depression. Mary is especially passionate about increasing access to knowledge and information for families and health professionals in rural and remote areas of Australia. Mary is a qualified social worker and has extensive experience working in community development roles in Central Victoria. Mary is currently studying her Bachelor of E-Health at University of Tasmania and also teaches community development students at Victoria University.

Who should attend? Professionals working with families and children within the Community, Health and Welfare sectors as well as Education, Teachers and Early Childhood staff.

A light lunch will be provided.
