The "Profit Protection in Australia and New Zealand: Setting the Benchmarks" agenda was developed as a result of requests from Profit Protection Future Forum members for tools to benchmark their performance and manage risk in a retail environment. This event will see subject experts discuss retail crime figures, statistics, workplace violence and business engagement followed by networking drinks and nibbles.
The agenda will include:
- Retail crime figures and all other crime related categories affecting retail, and true statistics over time
- Findings from the Australian and New Zealand Retail Crime Study
- An industry expert discussing workplace violence, suspect behaviour and active armed offenders
- Business engagement within a retail environment

The Profit Protection Future Forum was formed in 2015 and is led by Australasian retailers who wanted to encourage collaboration and best practice in loss prevention. To this day the PPFF is the only not-for-profit organisation in Australia focused purely on helping Loss Prevention teams.
From the outset, the PPFF had a goal to position itself differently. Retail LP leaders donated their time towards the goal of encouraging industry networking and collaboration because shoplifters will steal from EVERY store, regardless of whether it’s a supermarket, pharmacy or apparel store. While retailers may compete with each other for shopper dollars, they are united in wanting to fight the dishonest customer.
