Attend a tour of The Likeness and participate in a close reading analysis of selected portraits with visual arts educator Erin Knight.
The Likeness, an exhibition of portraits from the Cruthers Collection of Women’s Art, offers a unique opportunity to examine the stories that portraits tell not only about the sitter and artist, but also about our changing perceptions of art and society.
A special educational program in relation to the exhibition has been developed for Years 11 and 12 visual arts students and their teachers. Students are invited to learn more about the significance and changing role of portraiture and our ongoing fascination with the human subject.
Copies of the education kit, which addresses General and ATAR course guidelines, are available on the LWAG website. To organise a free tour, contact email@example.com.
