Event description
Full day workshop covering all aspects of Cyanotype Printing. Join us at Eramboo Artist Environment, nestled in Sydneys beautiful bushland!

About this Event

Join us for this immersive full day workshop, facilitated by local artist Eleanor Amiradaki, on Saturday 19th September 10am - 4pm.

Participants will be guided to develop a body of work in response to the surrounding landscape at Eramboo Artist Environment, nestled in Sydney’s stunning bushland!

Drawing inspiration from nature we will learn the history of cyanotype printing and explore the potentials of this captivating process.

Cyanotype is a photographic printing process using the sun to produce beautiful Prussian blue images. This process is experimental in nature and there are multiple techniques which can be used & combined in a myriad of ways to create an array of images.

In this workshop we will cover mixing solutions, preparing our paper, printing on a range of premium papers, various toning applications and creating our own negatives to print from directly.

Students will leave with a solid understanding of this versatile process and a folio of unique images.

Suitable for beginners looking for a creative experience, practicing artists who would like to explore a new medium and everyone in-between! A perfect combination of nature, alchemy, art and connection!
