You are invited to register for the Mindfulness stream of the Leadership Development Program for newly-appointed, first-time Principals.
Mindfulness has been shown to increase focus, attention, awareness, empathy and compassion. It has also been proven to help reduce stress, improve sleep quality and enhance overall sense of well-being.
In this stream, participants will learn powerful mindfulness techniques and how to apply them to significantly improve their leadership capabilities.
Working with other newly-appointed, first-time Principals will help you to build a strong support network across the state.
Structure
Eligibility
You must be a newly-appointed, first-time principal and joined cohort 1 in leadership development for principals (formerly Extended Induction).
Your commitment
Participants are expected to attend all workshops in Parramatta from 10:00am - 2:00pm.
Cost
All course fees are fully funded, including accommodation and flights for eligible participants. Teacher release for TP1 and TP2 principals will be provided.

Transportation
If you require a flight to Sydney it is recommened that travel occurs on the day of each workshop. The workshop hours allow for ample travel time. However, if you are unable to source a flight for the day of the event, accommodation can be provided the evening prior to each workshop. You will be expected to arrange your own transportation from Sydney airport to the accommodation.
Accomodation will not be provided for principals from metropolitan schools.
