Event description
Pride Month - In-Conversation with Author Gary Lonesborough

About this event

Gary Lonesborough is a Yuin man from Bega, NSW. Growing up a massive Kylie Minogue and North Queensland Cowboys fan, he was always writing as a child, and continued his creative journey when he moved to Sydney to study at film school. This led to Gary working on the feature film adaptation of Jasper Jones.

Join Gary Lonesborough as he discusses his debut YA novel, "The Boy from the Mish" a beautifully written novel about first love, identity, and the superpower of self-belief. It’s an evocative novel that begins with a subtle power – in the hushed tones of someone hiding their true identity – before being set alight in a firestorm of passion, bravery and true connection.

This book is suitable for a young adult and adult audience.

Books will be available for purchase on the night with light refreshments provided.

This event is being held in partnership with Advance Diversity Services and Kogarah Community Services.

PLEASE NOTE: Attendance at our events may be digitally recorded through photographs and/or videos. These images may be used by Georges River Libraries in their publications, social media, council’s website or newspaper. Please notify staff if you do not wish to be filmed.
