Event description

Description

With the on-set of the warmer weather, it's great to see so many people hit the water to swim, surf and paddle.

However, after a long winter hibernation (for many) a combination of lifting the aquatic km's too quickly, a lack of foundational strength, not warming-up and postural deficiencies can lead to shoulder pain and rotator cuff injuries.

Join the Exercise Science crew from Team Hemley Training and the Physiotherapists & Exercise Physiologists from Torquay Sports Medicine Centre for a FREE community workshops for surfers, swimmers and surf lifesavers of all ages.

Topics covered will include:

- Recognising and managing shoulder issues

- Preventative activation, stretching and strength exercises

- How to warm-up effectively before a surf, swim or paddle

- Building a foundation of strength with dryland strength, movement and resistance training

- Postural corrective exercises for aquatic athletes

You can sign up at the link below.

The first five people to sign up with receive 3 free sessions on the Team Hemley Training Surfing Ergo :)
