Event description
As a Wellbeing Educator, Annie Harvey has a kitbag of invaluable tools that she will share during this interactive workshop and morning tea.

About this event

As business owners and leaders, we often don't take time to think about our own personal wellbeing.

This workshop is a Pattern Interrupt offering time out and a chance to think about your own personal leadership and wellbeing: a chance we often don’t have the opportunity to take. It's all about simple, practical and fun strategies and tools to keep ourselves and our teams productive, effective and motivated.

You will also walk away with tools to manage stress and be calmer and more in control of your emotions.

This event also includes a BONUS hands-on art activity led by Merel Purmer of The Art of Expression. As an Art Therapist and Counsellor, Merel is highly skilled in using the language of art to help you find new meaning, understanding and a connection to yourself.

Your ticket includes the workshop, coffee/tea and a light morning tea.

About Annie Harvey:

As a Wellbeing Educator, Annie weaves her story of resistance to change into her talks and workshops with great ease. She has a kitbag of tools that she shares and encourages you to take action on. Her workshops explore how we can prevent burnout in subtle yet powerful ways.

Annie is a natural thought leader, drawing from a wide range of disciplines, resources, practitioners and readings and adding her own experiences. Dealing with the stress and complexity of modern life leads many of us to search for answers. Unfortunately, what we too often discover is a bewildering array of approaches, studies, books and products. It can be difficult to know where to start.

Annie’s gift is making the complex simple, distilling her years of study into easy-to-understand sessions that help people take the first steps towards self- awareness, the foundation of emotional intelligence and greater personal leadership.

Annie is also a mindfulness teacher and laughter therapist and has also written a book called The Little Book of Still.

As a speaker, Annie is often referred to as the ‘pattern interrupt’. Her enthusiasm is infectious, providing groups with a natural ‘mood lift’ and the dynamic energy needed to make the most of your meetings and conferences.

About Merel Purmer:

Merel is the Director and Art Therapist/Counsellor at The Art of Expression.

Merel is passionate about supporting her clients in their journey to positive health and well-being. Being part of someone’s journey to reach their full potential is something truly special. As each person is unique, Merel likes to use a creative approach in therapy. Using different kinds of art materials and a creative way of thinking are part of this. This creative approach is not only visible in her art therapy sessions but also in the counselling sessions with clients.

Merel's career expands over 18 years in the disability field, with a particular focus on autism in the past 12 years; supporting individuals and families living with a disability with the challenges they face, the growth they go through and the connections they make. These experiences give Merel the ability to support her team to provide the best individualised support for each and every client at The Art of Expression.

Organiser Tammy Edwards - Facilitator of Tammy's Table

Organiser of Prevent Burnout and Empathy Fatigue by Making Wellbeing a Priority in 2022

Life as a business owner can be incredibly rewarding.

There’s nothing better than the thrill of achieving a long-held goal or seizing an exciting new opportunity and seeing your business grow. But along with that come the challenges of managing cashflow, working crazy hours and wearing many hats.

Tammy Edwards knows this all too well.

When Tammy started her business as a sole trader 14 years ago, she could never have imagined that she would grow her business into one of South Australia’s most progressive and largest brands within the industry and be responsible for 12 staff and two office locations.

But she did have a clear goal from the very beginning – to build a thriving business that wasn’t dependent on her working 60-hour weeks for its long-term success.

Tammy achieved this lofty goal by employing a strategic approach to developing and implementing business systems and processes and establishing the foundation the business needed to provide direction to an empowered and engaged team.

Tammy engineered a business that ran profitably with minimal hands-on management.

Recently selling her business and retiring at the age of 45; Tammy is now perfectly positioned to help other business owners take charge of their future and prove that it is possible to balance business, family and personal interests to create the ideal lifestyle.

While Tammy’s business achievements speak for themselves, her visionary approach has been recognised and rewarded many times, including the Telstra Business Women's Awards Finalist 2015 - Entrepreneur Category.

Tammy is available for tailored workshops, one-on-one mentoring, consulting, facilitation and panel speaking. She also facilitates Tammy’s Table, a business mastermind and focus group which is all about you and your business. Tammy's Table provides a space for self-reflection, fresh perspective on challenges where you may be stuck in your thinking, support for difficulties you may be facing, encouragement to explore new ideas, and accountability for your plans.

Tammy carefully curates each group to match complementary personalities, aspirations, and stages of business to ensure you receive maximum benefit from your Tammy’s Table membership.

Part peer coaching, part mastermind group, always welcoming and never intimidating, at just $225 per quarter a Tammy's Table membership is a great investment for you and your business.
