Description

Fisher Lane Mobility are proud to present their first Pressure Care Professional Training Program for 2017!

The half day session (10:00am - 2:00pm) will be held in the Fisher Lane Mobility Braybrook training rooms and will be hosted by Koreen Williams from Novis Healthcare and Cal Bruce from Fisher Lane Mobility.

Our workshops are capped to 25 attendees to ensure ample opportunity for question time and attendee participation.

Overview of the Pressure Care Workshop:

The aim of this clinical presentation is to give an overview of the statistics, physiology, risk factors and management strategies for preventing pressure related injuries, without placing unnecessary burden on the care giver.

The clinical session is broken down into several components, including statistics, physiology, risk factors and management principles of pressure related injuries. The presentation is supported by practical information regarding static and dynamic mattress functionality, features and selection criteria.

Koreen will also give a brief overview of the changes in purchasing pressure care products through Hospital Purchasing Victoria, and the effect that this will have on both the aged care and acute setting.
