Presentation of the 2017 Alderson Awards
Fri., 24/03/2017, 6:30 pm
The ACT Down Syndrome Association is
Celebrating the Life Goal Achievements of People with Down Syndrome
A World Down Syndrome Day event for the ACT
The 2017 Alderson Awards Dinner is a highlight of the ACT Down Syndrome Association calendar of events, recognising the achievements of individuals with Down syndrome and acknowledging the work of individuals, groups, and businesses that collectively raise awareness of what Down syndrome is, what it means to have Down syndrome, and how people with Down syndrome in our community are “more alike than different”.
The Alderson Awards are presented in memory of baby Kate Louise Alderson who lived for only a few weeks in 1988. The Alderson family, in gratitude for the support they received during those weeks from the parent support contacts of the ACT Down Syndrome Association, brought the Kate Louise Alderson Award and the Alderson Family Award for Achievement into being.
This event is a great opportunity for members and friends of the ACT Down Syndrome Association to get together for a night of frienship and celebration. Members of the wider community are also most welcome to attend this event.
If you have any queries about the event, please contact the ACTDSA Office on 02 6290 0656. If the Office is unattended please email: email@example.com.
