Event description

Description

This course is delivered over two evenings.

Public speaking is one of the most feared of all human activities, which is why good speakers are so respected. They have conquered the fear and have dared to share their passion and vulnerability. They have experienced the liberation of being able to communicate. Good communication is not innate - it can be taught. This short course, delivered over two nights, will explain how you can deal with these anxieties, teach you relaxation techniques to express the real you and show you how to create an authentic rapport with your audience. An introduction to vocal dynamism will ensure your audience is continually engaged. This is a practical course conducted in a supportive environment. Individual feedback will be provided on the day.

Educator: Dr Lynette Maguire is an author, presenter, researcher and social commentator. Lynette graduated with her Doctoral degree from the University of the Sunshine Coast in 2015 with the University’s highest award for a graduating student the Chancellor’s Medal.
