Effective communication is at the heart of everything we, as humans, do. Yet for so many of us the thought of public speaking and presenting to a team or crowd is paralysing. Take this Micro Course and, over two weeks, you’ll learn how to conquer that fear, present with confidence and connect with an audience.

This Masterly online workshop will cover the following topics:

- The subtle nuances of effective presentations

- The role of linguistics and choice of language, and how this impacts your presentation

- How to project confidence and clarity when presenting

- How to truly connect with your audience and leave a lasting impression

Course format

This is a Masterly online workshop, delivered using a learning model that maximises student to teacher and student to student interaction.

Here's how it works:

- There will be 1 live online workshop on the 19th February from 6.30pm to 7.30pm AEDT. You'll be able to join these classes from a desktop, laptop, tablet or mobile

- There will be a practical projects over the duration of the course

- You'll receive feedback on these practical projects and to close the loop, be asked to reflect on what you've learned at the end of the week based on the live class, project and feedback

- You will connect with and interact regularly with the other students in the course via a dedicated Slack group

Meet Your Instructor

Louka has taught at one of South Australia’s most remote communities and was promoted to Principal at the age of 27. Louka was named South Australian Inspirational Public Secondary Teacher of the Year, completed two masters degrees, studied at Harvard and has visited every continent. He also learned to speak four new languages, including Pitjantjatjara and Yankunytjnatjara, and plans to learn many more. He believes learning a language changes us, and the world around us, for the better.
