Event description

Description

“Is my child ready for school next year or should I wait until the following year?”

“Won’t they be bored with another year of kinder?”

“Why do I have to think about this now when it is only May?”

“Why do I need to go on school tours, why can’t they just attend the school on the corner?”

“What does readiness mean anyway?”

Are you confused by the different views you hear in the community?

This session will explore these questions and discuss the importance of partnerships and the continuity of learning. Practical strategies will be discussed to prepare your child and family for a smooth and positive transition to school.

Louise Dorrat has a long history of teaching behaviour guidance at Swinburne, Victoria University and Deakin University. She has extensive experience in managing early childhood services and is contracted by organisations such as Federal and State Governments, Children’s Ground, ELAA, Child Australia and Gowrie to deliver training across Australia. Louise’s presentations are at once engaging and informative
