Event description

Description

Finding the right balance between injury prevention and performance enhancement is a challenge for all coaches of elite athletes.

For those working with elite sports teams, where group dynamics, extensive travel schedules and the needs of individual athletes all impact the implementation of injury prevention and performance strategies, making the right decisions can become an almost impossible task.

Yet, these decisions not only make or break a season, but affect long-term player welfare as well as club or organisation legacy and financial security.

Join me to hear from West Coast Eagles Senior Coach, Adam Simpson, alongside a panel of experts as they discuss the issues facing athletes and coaches in today’s high pressure sports environment.

The panel:

  • Adam Simpson, Senior Coach, West Coast Eagles
  • Glenn Stewart, High Performance Manager, West Coast Eagles
  • Associate Professor Gregory Haff, Masters of Exercise Science (Strength and Conditioning) Course Coordinator, ECU.
  • Associate Professor Sophia Nimphius, Exercise and Sports Science, ECU & Manager of High Performance Services, Softball WA
