Description

*THIS EVENT IS STRICTLY BY INVITATION ONLY*

From wasabi and Japanese wagyu, to teppanyaki and tonkatsu, there’s no doubt that Sydneysiders have an ever-growing appetite for Japanese cuisine.

The Japan External Trade Organisation (JETRO), supported by the Consulate-General of Japan in Sydney, invites you to their exclusive Japanese Culinary Showcase that will allow you to discover the latest tastes and trends of Japan, including premium A5 Japanese Wagyu beef.

The event will focus on education on the distinctive flavours, producers and skilled techniques of the Japanese food scene. This will include educational workshops where guests can discover the know-how behind Japan’s traditional and modern-day cooking techniques. The day will also play host to over 20 premium producers and suppliers direct from Japan including wasabi, fish products, sake and tea as well as ramen, tamari soy sauces, unique pastes and premium Japanese wagyu beef. The covetable Japanese wagyu product has just become available this year in Australia for importing from Japan after a 17-year interval.

Special guest speakers and leading chefs, Adam Liaw (Masterchef season 2 winner) and Hideo Dekura (notable expert on Japanese cuisine and Master Sushi Chef) will also be there to share their expert knowledge in their fields and provide samples of their recipes and creations on the day.

This event is FREE, however registration for this event is essential.
