Event Information
About this Event
Struggle with creative writing??
In this Year 11 Kickstarter Holiday Workshop, we’re going to help you master Creative Writing for the new HSC English Syllabus and Module C! In this 2.5 hour workshop during the school holidays we’re going to help you:
- Understand the form of creative writing
- Know and analyse your prescribed text
- Respond to a stimulus and use your prescribed text
- Choose a topic to write about
- Learn creative writing skills
- Write a reflection statement
- What makes an exemplar response
- Tackle practice questions
Why is it important to master this now?
With the new HSC syllabus changing assessment types, it means memorising creative writing pieces for assessments will no longer work. Instead, students need to be building up their writing skills and this takes time! So the best time to work on this is now before things count in Year 12!
What’s included?
- 2.5-hour workshop run by an experienced English teacher!
- Small personalised class – So you’re not one of 100 students in a big lecture room and can stay COVID-19 safe. We cap our F2F session at our campus at 8 students maximum

+ as a BONUS you receive free attendance in Week 1 and 2 of Term 1 Year 11 at Art of Smart’s weekly English classes! (valued at $140)
