Event description

Description

Perpetrators of family and domestic violence deliberately and intentionally use violence. Perpetrator accountability is about creating safety for women and children by holding the man using family violence responsible, for their behaviour.

There are many different systemic responses to hold individual perpetrators of family and domestic violence accountable. Our panel will explore these responses and information on mandated or voluntary participation in men’s behaviour change programs (MBCP). They will discuss service system responses that reinforce perpetrator accountability, such as casework; child protection measures, such as supervised access; and community responses involving the perpetrator, including restorative justice.
