Capital Health Network invites all Practice Managers, key team members and interested parties to our Practice Management Network Meeting.
The aim of this face-to-face event is to expand the knowledge of Practice Managers and key team members working in the health care sector. This event provides a great opportunity to catch up with your peers and network following a trying 2020/21!
Topics include:
- Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) on the Expansion of the Coordinated Veterans’ Care (CVC) Program for White Card holders who have a mental health condition that has been accepted by DVA as being related to their military service
- Feros Care on their services and the NDIS.
Learning Outcomes
DVA:
1. Understand and apply the guidelines and goals for the CVC Program Expansion and administer the program in your practice.
2. Understand and apply the eligibility requirements for patients under the Coordinated Veterans’ Care (CVC) Program.
3. Be comfortable in clarifying between accepted mental health conditions and non-liability health care, along with how to direct a patient to seek assistance for their mental health condition
4. Be confident in knowing how to find information about the CVC Program and the expansion to include White Card holders
Feros Care:
1. Understand how the NDIS works and the role of general practice.
2. Understand the role and services of Feros Care in the ACT.
3. Understand the resources available to general practice and where to obtain them.
4. Understand the process of applying for NDIS funding, including paperwork.
