Runway launches issue #33 POWER with a POWER LUNCH

Featuring a two course meal from Parliament on King, drinks from Young Henrys and POWERFUL discussion from invited guests:

Tania Canas, a member, previous Director, and now provides advice on Art and Theatre Policy and programs, at RISE Refugee. She is also a PhD student, sessional tutor and lecturer at the Centre for Cultural Partnerships, VCA, University of Melbourne and sits on the Editorial Board for the International Pedagogy and Theatre of the Oppressed Academic Journal.

Wenny Theresia, who has been involved with the Divest from Detention network that has worked to trace the financial and cultural supply chains of the asylum detention industry, and successfully used tactics of boycott, divestment and disruption to organise against mandatory detention.

D’harawal woman and local elder Deborah Lennis, a Community Development Officer Aboriginal Programs at Leichhardt Council with a wealth of experience in education, community development and engagement.

These power houses will be joined by Issue #33 contributors David Corbet, Nina Dodd, Shivanjani Lal, Emily Parsons-Lord and Naomi Riddle along with editors Rebekah Raymond and Sian McIntyre.
