About this Event

Description

Participants will be provided more comprehensive knowledge around the indicators for people who may require post-abortion support or counselling. This workshop will enhance understanding of factors in resolution after an abortion, assessment and referral pathways for practitioners who may provide unplanned pregnancy or post-abortion counselling or case management. It is informed by trauma, loss and grief and compassion-focused theoretical perspectives and will examine disenfranchised grief and loss in the context of abortion and cultural and social stigmatisation.
