Event description
This is an introduction to the care, rehabilitation and release of orphaned possum joeys.

About this event

This training is limited to 12 people until we are not restricted by Covid social distancing rules.

Topics will include:

* Basic anatomy and life stages* Diet* Husbandry* Housing* Common injuries and illnesses* How to release

Please note: Wild animals must be kept separately from any any pets you have.

Registration will begin at 9.30am for a10.00am start, and the day will finish around 4pm.  Because of the nature of the 'hands on' we ask that no children under the age of 10 years attend.

NOTE: You MUST be registered as a member to volunteer for the organisation. If you are becoming a member at this training please fill out this form

We take injured, orphaned, and sick wildlife and provide care until they are ready to be released back into the wild. All our carers have professional training to ensure a high standard of welfare for animals in care. ACT Wildlife also educates the public about sharing urban spaces with native wildlife.
