Portraits in Charcoal
Event Information
About this event
Meet the artist and facilitator Kylie, she has achieved a Bachelor of Art Education and has been teaching for 28 years. She is a multi-disciplined artist, who works across a range of mediums including drawing, painting, design, costuming, prop creation, and dance.
In this workshop you will be looking briefly at how to draw faces, and then work on building tone and character, using a variety of techniques including sketching, shading, rubbing back, and overdrawing.
All materials will be provided. We encourage you to bring a portrait image or two. Please note Kylie will also have some spares on the day if you need.
Take home a finished portrait that demonstrates the exploration of drawing techniques in the class, to either frame, or use as a reference.
This workshop is suitable for high school students through to adults, and will be geared towards all levels of ability.
This intimate class of 15 will be a lot of fun so bring your friends or family.
Bookings are essential.
