Event description

Description

Shared Lives is a free and comprehensive two-day workshop for people who have an interest in becoming accredited foster carers. Apart from being an amazing opportunity to ask everything you want to know about fostering, it is a mandatory training for all of those who want to become a registered carer in NSW.

Shared Lives will happen on November 30 and December 1, Thursday and Friday, from 9 am to 3 pm.

  • Registration is essential prior to the event. Please ensure your contact details are correct as your attendance will depend on our ability to contact you over the phone prior to the event.
  • Attendance on both days is essential. In case you cannot attend one of the days, please remember you'll need to wait until the next session is available in your region so you can complete your training.

  • Have the best interest of children in care in mind before registering, we have limited spots available so please do your best to attend once registered. Thanks in advance for your registration.

Shared Lives is an interactive training that gives you the chance to ask all questions you might have about having a young person under your care for short of long periods of time. It focuses on the challenges, rewards, rights and duties of foster carers in NSW. The workshop is also a great chance to learn about education, trauma and children development.

For more information about foster care, please go to http://www.caspa.asn.au/become-foster-carer.

If you wish to talk to CASPA's office, please call
