Date and time:

  • Saturday 11 November, 8.00am – 9.30am (intermediate to advanced)

  • Sunday 26 November, 8.00am–9.30am (beginner to intermediate)

  • Sunday 26 November, 9.30am–11.00am (intermediate to advanced)


Join snorkel leaders from Experiencing Marine Sanctuary (EMS), park rangers and local Gawler River enthusiasts for an incredible guided snorkel through the magical world of the Port Gawler River Mangrove Forest within the Adelaide International Bird Sanctuary National Park. The mangrove forest is home to an amazing variety of colourful fish and plant life. So come and join us for this special aquatic adventure.

The event is suitable for children 5 years and above whom are good swimmers. At least one parent must accompany and supervise children (ratio required of 1 parent/two children)

Please note that this event maybe cancelled in the event of poor weather.

Meeting Point:

Boat ramp, Port Gawler Road

What to bring:

  • Towel to dry off at the end of the session

  • Old shoes that can get wet

  • Wetsuit and snorkeling gear – EMS can supply if you don’t have

  • 5-7 year olds need to have their own wetsuit and floatation device & supervision is one-on-one by parent
