Monthly meetings for Port Environment Forum
About this event
The Port Environment Forum meets monthly to discuss topical local environment matters.
18 August- Green and Water Sensitive Cities
Local City Council’s in partnership with residents are increasingly coming up with initiative solutions to increase tree canopy and associated biodiversity value with the assistance of harnessing the value of local stormwater run-off via water sensitive urban design treatments. These projects help to cool suburbs and sustain local soil moisture for the trees and vegetation to grow and flourish.
We have three presenters sharing their successful experiences on
the night:
- Mark Hannan, City of Charles Sturt Tree Canopy Improvement Strategy, Tree Giveaway scheme and examples of Water Sensitive Urban Design (WSUD)Aleisa Lamanna, City of PAE Get Shady Project
- Tony Tran, City of PAE, Water Sensitive Treatments in Port Adelaide
