Create a pop-up artwork with illustrator James Gulliver Hancock

About this event

Kids will create their very own pop-up artwork inspired by our exhibition How Cities Work using cardboard, paper, glue and coloured pencils. Illustrator James Gulliver Hancock will demonstrate simple techniques that will turn seemingly ordinary materials into an imaginative artwork.

Suitable for kids aged 6+

About James

James Gulliver Hancock’s obsession with drawing has led him around the world to capture buildings in New York, London, and closer to home in Sydney and Melbourne. With a pencil always in hand, he reimagines cities, their buildings and people through his offbeat lens.

About How Cities Work

Explore the city inside out, top to bottom in a whole new way at How Cities Work. From skyscrapers to underground networks, this interactive family exhibition reveals the secret workings of our busy urban centres.

How Cities Work is a travelling exhibition from Sydney Living Museums.

Exhibition Partner LONELY PLANET KIDS

In collaboration with JAMES GULLIVER HANCOCK
