About the maker:

Melbourne based Designer + Maker Sheree McCready is the creative behind Polly Collective. Making contemporary jewellery and sculpted art using Polymer Clay as her core medium.

Lifelong lover of all things artistic and colourful, Sheree has a background in Professional Photography, after moving to Melbourne from NZ she was looking for an escape from the photography scene and came across polymer clay. After months and months of research, lots of trial and error and some really gnarly creations this self taught polymer clay artist finally found her niche and some wicked therapy for her creative soul!

Using a signature pattern of squiggles and dots as an emphasis to compliment the simple shapes, bold colourways and contemporary style. With a bit of good old makers hustle and whole lotta heart Sheree has cultivated her brand, she is now stocked in retail stores across Australia and NZ, sharing her love of the evolving polymer clay craft by teaching skill based workshops like this, and continuing to grow and develop her little craft baby Polly Collective!

If you can cope with a strong kiwi accent, you get excited when you see colourful stuff you can play with and squish, you love metallic and glitter, you want to get some serious inspiration and craft it up….you should definitely book onto a workshop with Sheree. Her open book, honest and down to earth approach will have you hooked.

FAQs

What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?

Brick+Mortar is on George St, just off The Parade in Norwood, behind the Town Hall. There is plenty of on-street 2 hour free parking (but plenty of parking inspectors so beware!), and the open air paid carpark above Foodland (access off Webbe St) has all day parking for only $6. Bus routes run up The Parade regularly and the closest bus stop is just before the Town Hall.

Of course! We have a full cafe on the ground floor, so just make sure you arrive in time to order your coffee and you can take it in with you.
