Victoria Police will host a recruitment information session for community members who are interested in applying for one of two positions based at your local Police Station—Police Custody Officer and Supervising Police Custody Officer roles.
You will be a valued member of the local police team and play a crucial role in the management and welfare of persons in custody.
About the Roles
- Police Custody Officers (PCO) are responsible for overseeing the management of persons in the custody of Victoria Police.
- The Supervising Police Custody Officer is a new role overseeing and coordinating the day to day operations of a team of PCOs.
The PCO and Supervising PCO roles are suited to people who can remain calm under pressure, are adaptable and who are able to multi-task and manage their time well. Applicants should be able to undertake shift work and will possess good administrative, communication and interpersonal skills.
