Join Curator Anna Kanaris and award winning Noongah Bush Sculptor Janine McAullay Bott for a floor walk and talk and weaving demonstration at this exhibition which encompasses three geographically distant regions and emphasises a diversity of medium and styles. Learn about the art and style of the Munupi artists from Melville Island with their distinctive ochre mark makings then venture to the desert to view the difference of the bold and self assured colour explosion of the Iwantja and Ernabella arts communities in the APY lands. Then hear and see how internationally recognised sculptural weaver Janine McAullay Bott's organic weaves, which will reference the works, come together. This will be a very enjoyable and inspiring experience.
Light refreshments will be served.
