Description

Hi All

Bengali New Year (Nôbobôrsho) or Pohela Boishakh is the first day of the Bengali calendar, celebrated in both Bangladesh and West Bengal, and in other Bengali communities in Assam and Tripura. Pohela Boishakh connects all ethnic Bengalis irrespective of religious and regional differences. In Bangladesh, it is celebrated on April 14. It also coincides with New Years in many other calendars, including those of South India (Kerala, Tamil Nadu), Sri Lanka, Nepal, Eastern India (Assam, Manipur, Orissa), and Southeast Asia (Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand).

Please save April 30th, 2017 and register – to experience a festive event packed with entertainment.

Festivities will include:

• Musical performances by Ex Iubians and Junior familiy members

• Authentic mouthwatering Bangladeshi ‘tok-jhal-mishti’ food

• Raffle draw (exciting prizes)

• and much more!

Please join us at the magical event to make a difference & support our work.

Look forward to see you & your family !

Best Regards,

-Elius, Moushumi on behalf of Ex-Iubians in Australia.
