Event description

Description

Poet vs Pageant is a contemporary take on the epic poem that pits a perpetual outsider against the glittery end of the pop-culture spectrum to see who comes out on top.

What will happen when a socially incapable word-nerd dives head first into the perilous seas of a beauty pageant? She may think she knows what she’s up against, but round after round, as girls are viciously eliminated from the competition, our heroine discovers a new side to them and to herself.

This show is dynamic, vibrant, funny and clever, and will appeal to word-lovers and adventure-takers alike. Miss Congeniality meets the Odyssey – a hero’s journey full of blood, sweat and tans.
