Plogging with Arc'teryx Ambassador The Plastic Runner
Event Information
About this Event
With the opening of our brand new Arc'teryx flagship store in Chadstone, we want to celebrate with our community! How better to toast to the new store than to help keep the planet clean while getting some kudos on Strava, and enjoy a beer after with rad people?
On Monday 30th of November we will be partnering up with The Plastic Runner, aka our lovely trail running ambassador Karin Traenger, to run a really fun, informative community plogging event in Melbourne!
Plogging? Yes, you read right.
Plogging is the combination of running while picking up litter. Staying active while giving some TLC to our favourite trails.
Meetup at Stomping Ground at 6pm, we will then hit the trails over the Gipps St Bridge for around a 5km trail run, while making the trails a bit brighter and greener! We will then come back and have a chat from The Plastic Runner as well as snacks and brews from the oh so tasty Stomping Ground!
Tickets are for $20 and include:
-a beer and nibbles
-a limited edition hyrdo flask provided by our new Arc'teryx Chadstone store ($50 value)
-a chance to win 1 of 5 $250 gift certificates to the Arc'teryx Chadstone store
There are only 18 spots, so act fast!
Entries will be donated to the Yarra Riverkeeper to help in their regeneration projects, making our Yarra River greener and healthier.
Come for a run, laughs, beer, and give the planet a smile!
Since 2018, Karin (the founder of The Plastic Runner), has been giving back to the trails. With the help of volunteers, the project has been able to collect over 1,000 kilos of litter from trails and riverbanks.
Her passion for ultra-running and environmental action took her to create this initiative, helping communities and the local trails.
