Join curator Imelda Miller on a free tour of Plantation Voices: Contemporary conversations with Australian South Sea Islanders and learn the secrets and stories behind this exhibition.

Plantation Voices showcases original photographs, rare and restricted papers and newly commissioned artworks from the State Library of Queensland collections. Curator's tour will offer unique insights and behind-the-scenes information not normally accessible to the public.

2019 marks the 25th anniversary of the national recognition of Australian South Sea Islanders as a distinct cultural group. Through the exhibition and free curator’s tours you can discover more about the significance of this landmark occasion and the contributions made by Australian South Sea Islanders to Queensland’s cultural landscape.

Free curator's tours occur on the second and fourth Wednesday of every month at 11am, until 8 September.
