Plant X online program will be presented by the Orange Cowra Cabonne Science Hub, DPI - Plant Pathology - Orange, with leading scientists and artists with Dr. Angus Carnegie.

This workshop explores operational forest health and biosecurity surveillance.

Angus will be featured as part of the Orange Cowra Cabonne Science Hub, online video, and talks for National Science Week 2020.

Angus Carnegie is currently a Senior Principal Research Scientist with NSW DPI and an Adjunct Professor at Southern Cross University. Angus received a Ph.D. in forest pathology from the University of Melbourne, Australia, in 2000, and since 1996 has been a researcher with the NSW Department of Primary Industries (previously State Forests of NSW) based in Sydney.

A large focus of his work is operational forest health and biosecurity surveillance, providing pest and disease management advice to the forest industry, and improving forest biosecurity for both industry and government. His research is focused on improving the efficiency of forest health and biosecurity surveillance, impact assessment and management of pests and diseases in plantations and native forests, and taxonomy of eucalypt foliar fungi.
