Event description

Description

Join local communities and grassroots organisations to talk about the future of Sydney.

There is growing concern that intensive development is happening without any genuine community consultation and little consideration for infrastructure needs, environmental and heritage impacts and the liveability of local communities.

Hear from fellow residents, community groups and politicians about what we can do to ensure that what we love about Sydney is preserved and enhanced. Working together we can resist thoughtless overdevelopment and secure Sydney's future as a resilient, culturally vibrant, green and liveable city.

Speakers include:

Mr David Shoebridge- Greens NSW Spokesperson for Planning

The Hon. Michael Daley, MP- Deputy Opposition Leader and Shadow Minister for Planning

Jeff Angel- Executive Director, Total Environment Centre

Barbara Coorey- Sydenham to Bankstown Alliance

Licia Heath- CLOSEast

MC: Corinne Fisher, Founding Convenor Better Planning Network / Senior Campaigner Total Environment Centre

Event Hashstag: #PrioritySydney

Note: This is a free, community-run event. A donation at the door would be appreciated.
