Event description

Description

Sometimes in life, we experience challenges that are unexpected, such as, illness or accidents.

Planning for the future is something everyone can do to prepare for the unexpected.

This session will explore the legal processes you can put in place today to ensure your wishes and rights are upheld for the future. Topics include:

  • Powers of attorney - what are they and how do I make one?

  • Medical treatment decision making - who can make medical decisions for me if I can't?

  • Advance care planning - what does this mean?

The Office of the Public Advocate has planning for the future fact sheets in 17 languages.

This free session is aimed at community workers, leaders and representatives from CALD communities.

Please advise of any support needs.
